habib koité

Habib

He performed at a packed concert last night here in Niamey. He played guitar, an african flute and sang in a rich wonderful voice. He was so charming. His band was amazing too, with vibraphone, more guitars, calabash and talking drum. He let whoever wanted to get on stage and dance. One young girl kept going up there with him, she was like a professional african dancer, but just a kid, dancing and smiling. I'm still floating on the cloud he created.
