Twice in the two years I've lived in Moscow I've gotten lucky enough to ride in Children's car of the metro. A few special cars, with no advertising, painted inside and out with fairy tales and stories.

I haven't been lucky enough to get in one and didn't know they existed.
Of course there would be adults in there as who would let their child ride the metro alone.
