They are cementing over the far edge of our yard. I don't get how the bouganvilla can survive with cement all the way to the trunks, but okay, it's not really my yard. I haven't seen a batch of cement made in a wheel barrow since I was a little kid. Sometimes Africa is like time travel.

That's hard work. I remember a summer back in the early 1990ths when I together with my brother made a big concrete floor in our greenhouse business this way, we did use a cement mixer of course. Took some time, but the end result was pretty good. Hope the bouganvilla survives!
I hear you about "time travel"... I'll be posting some real "time travel" pictures on my site soon--including a vehicle that is an ambulance when painted white, a hearse when painted black. !!!!!
